Two final validation report links display in the Validation Report (VR) folder for each successfully processed submission file. Nursing home and swing bed users should select the final validation report name link that displays adjacent to the green notebook icon to view the validation report in text. The text format is the same format that providers are accustomed to receiving. The XML formatted report is easily identified by the 'XML' reference on the icon and is used by software vendors that develop MDS 3.0 data entry software.
