IRF Quality Reporting Program (QRP) Quality Measure (QM) Reports Now Available

On October 12, 2018, CMS notified IRF providers that IRF QRP reports (IRF Facility and Resident-Level Quality Measure Reports and IRF Review and Correct report) would be unavailable during scheduled maintenance. These reports are now available and contain the following enhancements:

  • New risk-adjustments for measures NQF# 0678, 2633, 2634, 2635, and 2636 with recalculated measure results
  • NQF# 2631 measure calculations have been updated to include new item response values
  • For the measures listed below, the report labels “Crude Readmission Rate” and “National Crude Readmission Rate” were revised to “Observed Readmission Rate” and “National Observed Readmission Rate”:
    • Potentially Preventable 30-Day Post-Discharge Readmission Measure for Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities Quality Reporting Program
    • Potentially Preventable Within Stay Readmission Measure for Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities
  • The ‘All-Cause Unplanned Readmission Measure for 30 Days Post-Discharge from Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (NQF# 2502)’ measure has been removed from the IRF Facility-Level Quality Measure report as of October 1, 2018
  • Measures NQF# 2633 and 2634 now display complete, past data where they previously stated “N/A”
  • Measures NQF# 0680A-C displays “N/A” as of October 1, 2018, since items O0250A and O0250C are optional
  • Measure NQF# 0678 displays results from 10/01/2017-09/30/2018 until removed
