Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES) for Home Health Agencies is Now Available

Jan 03, 2020

Dear Home Health Agency (HHA) Provider:

On June 27, 2019, CMS sent an email to Home Health Agencies (HHAs) to inform them that effective January 1, 2020, all HHA users would be required to access the new assessment submission and reporting system known as the internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES) to submit patient assessments and view reports.

As of January 1, 2020, the Home Health Agencies’ Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) submission functionality within the QIES Assessment Submission & Processing (ASAP) system is no longer available and users are required to access iQIES to submit patient assessments and view associated reports.

Please note that failure to obtain access to iQIES will impact your ability to submit assessment data needed for claims matching purposes.

In order to access iQIES, users must create an account and establish login credentials in the Healthcare Quality Information System (HCQIS) Access Roles and Profile system (HARP).

For details on how to create an account in iQIES and for a description of the roles available to your organization, please refer to the iQIES Onboarding Guide, which can be accessed using the  following link:

For assistance with HARP onboarding, users can call the QIES Technical Support Office (QTSO) Helpdesk at (800) 339-9313 or e-mail iqies@cms.hhs.gov. If you have any questions related to iQIES, please send them to iQIES_Broadcast@cms.hhs.gov.
