For Home Health Agencies participating in HHCAHPS:
The HHCAHPS Preview Reports are posted quarterly on the Home Health Care CAHPS Survey website at https://homehealthcahps.org under "For HHAs Only" in the months of March, June, September, and December. Home Health Compare is updated in the months of April, July, October, and January. We post the HHCAHPS Preview Reports one month prior to public reporting on Home Health Compare on https://www.medicare.gov/.
The HHCAHPS Preview Reports are for the home health agencies participating in HHCAHPS. Agencies will be able to view their most recent HHCAHPS data and their Star Ratings. Additional information about response rates, number of respondents for each measure, and the adjustments of the data for patient mix will be explained in the HHCAHPS Preview Reports. If agencies have questions about their HHCAHPS Preview Reports, they should email HHCAHPS@RTI.ORG or call 1-866-354-0985.
CMS has archived HHCAHPS data back to 2012, when we began to publicly report HHCAHPS on Home Health Compare. The past data are posted on https://data.medicare.gov and on https://homehealthcahps.org.
For Home Health Agencies not yet participating in HHCAHPS:
CMS welcomes all Medicare-certified home health agencies to participate in HHCAHPS, at any time. It is advantageous for Medicare-certified home health agencies to participate in HHCAHPS so that they may receive their full calendar year annual payment update (APU) for the Home Health Quality Reporting Program requirements.
