This executable file contains the current version of the jRAVEN software (v1.7.7), a Java-based application that allows facilities to collect and maintain facility, patient and assessment information for subsequent submission to the appropriate national data repository. jRAVEN is free software provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). jRAVEN 1.7.7 includes the following enhancements: - The new MDS VUT, v3.5.0, updated to include the new ICD codes in effect on 1/1/2021 and revisions to support Errata v3.00.6 (issue 17) - The new PDPM Grouper, v1.0009, updated to include the new ICD codes defined beginning 01/01/2021 Refer to the jRAVEN 1.7.4 User Guide for further information. The User and Installation Guides did not change from the 1.7.4 version for this release of jRAVEN. Please Note: For current jRAVEN users it is strongly recommended that a database backup is completed prior to beginning the upgrade process. For questions related to data backup please consult the jRAVEN User Guide or contact the IQIES Help Desk. Once an upgrade installation has begun, for any configuration type, users should not cancel or close any of the windows displayed. Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in loss of data. Users do not need to have a previous installation of jRAVEN to download or use jRAVEN v1.7.7. SYSTEM CONFIGURATION/INSTALLATION TYPE STANDALONE The Standalone installation is self-contained on one workstation. Users that have not yet installed jRAVEN and wish to install a Standalone version should: 1. Begin by reviewing the jRAVEN 1.7.4 Installation Guide. 2. Use the jRAVENSetup-1.7.7.exe. **Please Note: The Standalone and Network Client version of the application are both included in the jRAVENSetup-1.7.7.exe. NETWORK CLIENT The Network Client/Server installation uses a server to support one or more individual workstations, all accessing one database by multiple computers and users. - Servers hold the central database and must utilize the server installation file first. - Network Clients are placed on each user’s workstation, which then access the database stored on the server. ALL network client applications should be closed when upgrading or installing a new server. Once an upgrade installation has begun users should not cancel or close any of the windows displayed. ALL client installations should be upgraded to the latest version prior to logging into the application. Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in loss of data. NOTE THAT IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE NETWORK CLIENT/SERVER INSTALLED (V1.5.0) AT YOUR LOCATION AND HAVE BEEN USING IT, YOU DO NOT NEED TO UPGRADE THE SERVER AT THIS TIME. THERE HAVE BEEN NO CHANGES TO JRAVENSERVERSETUP-1.5.0.EXE. SO YOU ONLY NEED TO RUN THE CLIENT VERSION - JRAVENSETUP-1.7.7.EXE. Users that have not yet installed jRAVEN and wish to install a Network/Client version should: 1. Begin by reviewing the jRAVEN 1.7.4 Installation Guide. 2. Use the jRAVENServerSetup-1.5.0.exe. 3.
