This executable file contains the current version of the jHAVEN software (v1.4.1), a Java-based application that allows agencies to collect and maintain agency, patient and assessment information for subsequent submission to the appropriate national data repository. jHAVEN is free software provided by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). jHAVEN v1.4.1 includes the following enhancement: 1. V8219 Home Health PPS Grouper Please Note: For current jHAVEN users it is strongly recommended that a database backup is completed prior to beginning the upgrade process. For questions related to data backup please consult the jHAVEN User Guide or contact the QIES Help Desk. Once an upgrade installation has begun, for any configuration type, users should not cancel or close any of the windows displayed. Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in loss of data. Users do not need to have a previous installation of jHAVEN to download or use jHAVEN v1.4.1. SYSTEM CONFIGURATION/INSTALLATION TYPE STANDALONE The Standalone installation is self-contained on one workstation. Users that have not yet installed jHAVEN and wish to install a Standalone version should: 1. Begin by reviewing the jHAVEN 1.4.0 Installation Guide (note this is the same Installation Guide as the previous release 1.4.0 for January 2019). 2. Use the jHAVENSetup-1.4.1.exe. **Please Note: The Standalone and Network Client version of the application are both included in the jHAVENSetup-1.4.1.exe. NETWORK CLIENT The Network Client/Server installation uses a server to support one or more individual workstations, all accessing one database by multiple computers and users. • Servers hold the central database and must utilize the server installation file first. • Network Clients are placed on each user’s workstation, which then access the database stored on the server. ALL network client applications should be closed when upgrading or installing a new server. Once an upgrade installation has begun users should not cancel or close any of the windows displayed. The jHAVEN network client should be installed after the server installation has been successfully completed and all client installations should be upgraded to the latest version prior to logging into the application. Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in loss of data. NOTE THAT IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE NETWORK CLIENT/SERVER INSTALLED (V1.3.0) AT YOUR LOCATION AND HAVE BEEN USING IT, YOU DO NOT NEED TO UPGRADE THE SERVER AT THIS TIME. THERE HAVE BEEN NO CHANGES TO JHAVENSERVERSETUP-1.3.0.EXE. SO YOU ONLY NEED TO RUN THE CLIENT VERSION - JHAVENSETUP-1.4.1.EXE. Users that have not yet installed jHAVEN and need to install a Network/Client version should: 1. Begin by reviewing the jHAVEN 1.4.0 Installation Guide. 2. Use the jHAVENServerSetup-1.3.0.exe. 3.
