jRAVEN 1.7.6
jRAVEN 1.7.6
Release Notes
jRAVEN (version 1.7.6) is now available for download which contains the following update:
- The new PDPM Grouper, v1.0008
Beginning October 1, 2020, states will have the option to direct their providers to have the PDPM Grouper score calculated on the standalone OBRA comprehensive and quarterly assessments. In support of this a new State PDPM OBRA flag has been defined that will be used to indicate if and when the provider will be having the PDPM payment score calculated on these standalone OBRA assessments. For more detailed information on how to set the new State PDPM OBRA flag in jRAVEN 1.7.6, please refer to the “Grouper Configuration” section of the jRAVEN User Guide 1.7.4 (User Guide has not changed with this 1.7.6 release) that is downloaded with the jRAVEN application and also available in the “References & Manuals” QTSO page for Nursing Home/Swing Bed Providers. Providers whose States require these items should follow the RAI User’s Manual coding guidance and refer to State-specific guidance for additional State-specific coding instructions. Please confirm with your State Medicaid Agency if your State will require the calculation of the PDPM payment codes on the OBRA assessments when not combined with a 5-day SNF PPS assessment.
Note that the State PDPM OBRA flag will also be displayed (read-only) on the assessment screen at the bottom of Section Z for assessments with target dates on and after October 1, 2020.
Install Instructions
ATTENTION!
If you are uncertain which configuration of jRAVEN you are currently using, please contact the QTSO Help Desk.
For current jRAVEN users it is strongly recommended that a database backup be completed prior to beginning the upgrade process. For questions related to data backup please consult the jRAVEN User Guide or contact the QTSO Help Desk.
Once an upgrade installation has begun, for any configuration type, users should not cancel or close any of the windows displayed.
Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in loss of data.
STANDALONE
The Standalone installation is self-contained on one workstation.
Users that have not yet installed jRAVEN and wish to install a Standalone version should:
1. Begin by reviewing the jRAVEN 1.7.4 Installation Guide
2. Use the jRAVENSetup-1.7.6.exe.
**Please Note: The Standalone and Network Client version of the application are both included in the jRAVENSetup-1.7.6.exe. Also, the Installation Guide did not change between the 1.7.4 and 1.7.6 release of jRAVEN.
NETWORK CLIENT/SERVER
The Network configuration installation is intended for a group of users with a designated database server in a separate location. Each user will have the jRAVEN Network Client installed on their PC and the database will be stored in a network location.
ALL network client applications should be closed when upgrading the server. Upgrade time will vary depending on database size. Once an installation/upgrade has begun users should not cancel or close any of the windows displayed.
ALL jRAVEN client installations should be upgraded to the latest version prior to logging into the application. Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in loss of data.
Note that if you already have the Network Client/Server (v1.5.0) installed at your location and have been using it, you do NOT need to upgrade the server version of jRAVEN at this time.
There have been NO changes to jRAVENServerSetup-1.5.0.exe. So you only need to run the Client version – jRAVENSetup-1.7.6.exe.
Users who need to install or upgrade a Network/Client configuration of jRAVEN should:
- Begin by completing a database backup if you are a current jRAVEN user.
- Review the jRAVEN 1.7.4 Installation Guide.
- Use the jRAVENServerSetup-1.5.0.exe.
- Use the jRAVENSetup-1.7.6.exe to install the jRAVEN Network Client to each workstation.
If you are uncertain which configuration of jRAVEN you are currently using, please contact the QTSO Help Desk.
